AVALANCHE TITANIUM GRAVEL

MANUFACTURING DATE : JUNE 2024

PRESENTATION : This titanium bike has been designed primarily for travel. Titanium combines lightness and comfort, responsiveness and flexibility.

This bike also features one of the rare titanium Truss forks. This model, which we designed and developed for the 2023 Machine Show bike, is here pushed and adapted to titanium manufacture. The pure, flowing lines we took the time to design for the first fork are achieved through 3D printing. Here, several parts on this fork are designed using this technique, requiring a great deal of upstream design work. This fork is perfect for travel, with the perfect combination of lightness, comfort and braking rigidity. Inserts have been added to the fork legs to accommodate Avalanche titanium fork cages.

All the details and hallmarks of the Avalanche Titanium bike can be found on this machine: the invisible seat clamp, integrated into an elegant, flowing connecting piece. The rear dropouts, with their discreet internal cable routing and subtle mountain silhouette, and the seatpost, with its integrated ENVE clamping system.

On this bike, the lighting is integrated, while the fork can still be removed thanks to a connector located under the downtube. This integration not only protects the wires over time, but also produces an elegant, unobtrusive result, right down to the structure of the small front rack integrated into the fork. This small platform not only keeps the pannier off the tire, a disadvantage of smaller bikes, but also accommodates the front lamp, freeing up maximum space for the luggage.

As for components, we chose to equip this bike with an Ingrid cassette and single chainring, whose parts we appreciate, coupled with a Sram mechanical drivetrain. The cassette and crankset are entirely machined in Italy, making them extremely lightweight. They've also been designed to be able to climb and climb and climb, even when the bike is loaded. As with many Avalanche bikes, we've entrusted Duke with the choice of wheels, here spoked with a Son dynamo hub at the front, for ideal autonomy that is enhanced by the Sinewave front lamp with its integrated charging socket.

Last but not least, the paintwork on this bike was particularly time-consuming and meticulous. Five shades were specifically worked on to create a harmony evocative of nature. From sand to earth to green, with touches of golden yellow. Two of these shades have been worked specifically to match components: the Ingrid crankset and the bottom bracket from French brand Nova Ride. As on many Avalanche bikes, a second reading of the finish is offered when you approach the paintwork, and you can see all the details of the wefts and patterns.
