PRESENTATION : This bike was born from a meeting between the Avalanche team and Rahim, a bicycle dealer whose “Panache” bike café, located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, now brings together a growing community of enthusiasts. From a pair of rims bought at his shop for a customer's bike, the meeting began, then quickly the passionate discussions around his ideal bike. As a long-time enthusiast of the little queen, Rahim had no shortage of ideas and inspirations.
A gravel bike, allowing you to be comfortable on the road as well as on paths but with an atypical frame. With its stays going up on the upper tube, then ending in the shape of a cut point, it is a formal historical reminder that comes here to dress a contemporary machine. Perfect, at Avalanche, we like to bring the eras into dialogue. The geometry has been designed to obtain a comfortable bike, on which he can chain the kilometers without having stiffness in the neck. The cockpit is then higher than on the bikes he may have had in the past.
On the components side, for once, it was Rahim, as a good professional, who was in charge of sourcing the parts and assembling them. The Ingrid crankset, designed and machined in Italy, as well as a Miche seatpost, a component with an assertive aesthetic, complete the original character of this bike. If you are in or around Paris, you now know who to entrust your Avalanche bike to so that it can be serviced with the utmost care.
Finally, the painting here evokes a night sky, dotted with stars, which can be distinguished by looking at the frame a little closer. The top tube then sports a motto that will certainly speak to a whole generation.
