PRESENTATION:
This hiker has been designed and manufactured to ride for a long time and comfortably, on roads and paths. The desire was to have a bike that was comfortable but also responsive. We therefore opted for large diameter tubes, which ultimately don't seem so big, given the large size of this frame. The oversized sleeve allows you to have a comfortable position, which does not break your neck, in order to rack up the miles. Many people are surprised by this type of geometry, because they are used to standard bikes, with small bushings, often topped with a string of spacers. Custom-made then makes perfect sense, because here, it is the bike that adapts to its owner. On this machine, the lighting is autonomous and integrated into the frame, thanks to a hub dynamo. Electrical wires and cabling pass internally as much as possible, while remaining practical. The rear rack, equipped with lighting and also custom-designed, can then be easily removed thanks to connectors located on the bracket. This rack is completed by 2 fork cages made by our friends at Manivelle.
The finish has been worked specifically for this lover of cycling but also of navigation. So, the blue used is not just any blue. This is “glaz” blue, a shade located between blue and green, originally used to define the different shades that the sea can take on in Bretagne. A slight gradient evokes the foam of the waves, on the legs, but also on the stem, custom-made for this bike.
A graphic, in a style that now distinguishes several avalanche bikes, was designed specifically for this bike. It takes real places located on a navigation path dear to the heart of the owner of this bike. Lovers of Bretagne can try to guess some of them. As with each Avalanche bike, each element is painted, for greater durability, varnished in several layers and repolished to obtain an optimal shine.
